What a week!!!

I'm so glad tomorrow is Monday.

This past week has just been nuts. Tuesday we went out of town to Jasper. We went there to visit Bill's mom. David, Bill's brother, came down from Wisconsin as well. It was very nice seeing them. I hadn't seen David and their family for 4 years!

Of course, when we were out of town, that meant lots of eating out. I didn't eat as much but I still didn't eat very well. We left after lunch on Wed. Got home Wed evening and ate fast food. Then Thursday was Thanksgiving. At Thanksgiving, I went to my Aunt's house and then my mom's house. This weekend, wasn't too great either. However, I did manage to get 3 days of running in.

Unfortunately, I have gained 2.5 lbs. But this week is a new week, and it's back to my healthy eating habits and running.

Running friends?

I found a really neat running group! They are only 30 min away from me. They have evening runs so I went to one of them. I ran a little more than 5 miles with the ladies of the group. They are very nice! Earlier that day I ran 3 miles so I ran a total of 8 miles! Man, I totally felt the after affects even though I didn't run the 8 miles at one time. It was great, or as my brother says...it was greatness

What sucks is that they're changing their time :( I can't go earlier than 7 so looks like it'll be my first and last. I can probably go during Bill's Christmas break.

Doing pretty darn good!

I've been doing pretty well! I have finally lost about 2.5 lbs. The snacking really got me. I have been having an orange or an apple for snacks. I've also gotten more serious about my running. I've been slacking on that too. I ran this week 5 times for about an hour each time. I need to start getting my mileage up to get ready for this half marathon.

My sister and I are going to do another race. This time it's a 10k. It'll be 12/3. A 10k is 6.2 miles. I'm really excited!!

Now, I have a little dilemma. There is another race that is coming up 1/14. It's another 10K. This one has weight divisions. 150 lbs and above has their own division, and aren't eligible for the age divisions. So, I'm 152.5...should I try to lose that 2.5 lbs or should I go ahead and sign up for the "Athena" division? Would I have an advantage? Maybe? I don't know. I don't like that it's called "Athena" because it seems like 150 is ginormous!!

Decisions decisions.
